{"id":980,"date":"2009-01-15T14:54:37","date_gmt":"2009-01-15T21:54:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/?p=980"},"modified":"2014-12-04T13:21:19","modified_gmt":"2014-12-04T20:21:19","slug":"an-seo-goes-to-ces-2009-roundup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/ces-show\/an-seo-goes-to-ces-2009-roundup\/","title":{"rendered":"An SEO Goes To CES &#8211; 2009 Roundup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year I spent only a bit more than a half day at CES and I stayed only in the Sands Expo Hall,  unlike previous shows  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/technology-articles\/ces-show-roundup-las-vegas-2005-the-top-things-i-saw\/\" target=\"_blank\">CES 2006<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/technology-articles\/2007-ces-roundup-an-seo-at-ces\/\" target=\"_self\">CES 2007<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last year for 2008 I was able to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/ces-show\/an-seo-goes-to-ces-2008-part-1\/\" target=\"_blank\">write<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/technology-articles\/an-seo-goes-to-ces-2008-part-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">three<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/technology-articles\/an-seo-goes-to-ces-2008-part-3\/\" target=\"_blank\">posts<\/a> nearly all from the Expo Hall, but it was nearly a third smaller than it was last year, and there was far less variety. We were able to make it through the entire hall, seeing every single booth in just 4 1\/2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure that the economy played a major role in many vendors making a decision not to show up, and it was a bit disappointing after seeing how large it had grown last year.<\/p>\n<p>At any rate,  here&#8217;s of all the cool stuff I saw  (in no particular order) and a few others that for some reason caught my eye. I don&#8217;t claim to be a gadget reviewer, a photographer or even a  CES expert, so if my facts are wrong about anything, please correct me nicely!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.buglabs.net\/products\" target=\"_blank\">Bug  Labs<\/a><br \/>\nA 21st Century Erector Set. My friend <a href=\"http:\/\/selfmademinds.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Al Carlton<\/a>, the  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coolest-gadgets.com\/ \" target=\"_self\">gadgetmaster<\/a> is the one in this video.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t get to try it myself, because it looked like those that were in line were going to be a while,\u00a0 and we wanted to move on. They are virtual 3-D rendering glasses that allow you to interact with a 3d compouterized item simply by looking at a spot on a piece of cardboard that&#8217;s lying on the desk.<\/p>\n<p>Just point the glasses at the spot on the cardboard, and a 3d rendering appears in your field of vision, looking as if it&#8217;s sitting on the desk.
