This morning I gave the “two minute tip” at the east Portland chamber of commerce meeting, and I provided the following handout with a short presentation. a few of the members knew Google “did other stuff” but\u00a0 were surprised that there was so much available for free!

At www.google.com\/sms\u00a0 you can find out more about Short Messaging Service \u00e2\u20ac\u201c\u00a0 Send a text message like \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Cherrywood Village \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Portland OR\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00a0 to 46645 and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get back\u00a0 address and phone information in under 30 seconds \u00e2\u20ac\u201c faster and cheaper than 411<\/p>\n

Google Blog<\/strong><\/p>\n

Google Calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n

At www.google.com\/calendar you can use a free online calendar, viewable from anywhere in the world, and you can even upload your own Microsoft Outlook events to share with others.<\/p>\n

Google Photos<\/strong><\/p>\n

At www.picasa.google.com you can get free software called Picassa. that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize
