This security hole is in\u00a0“Flash”, which is\u00a0software\u00a0that allows you to view Macromedia Flash sound and motion files over the internet. You likely have this software on your computer already, and it has a newly discovered vulnerability.<\/p>\n

Upgrading and patching it may require more work than you may want to go through. Instead, just visit\u00a0this page at Adobe \/ Macromedia<\/a> and\u00a0update your Flash player to the latest version 8 available and you’ll be fine.<\/p>\n

Overview<\/font>There are critical vulnerabilities in Macromedia Flash player and related software that may allow an attacker to take control of your computer.<\/font>Solution<\/font>Apply Updates Adobe has provided the updates for these vulnerabilities. To obtain the update, visit the Security Bulletin. US-CERT recommends that you update to the most current version of your Macromedia product.<\/font>Description<\/p>\n

Some features of Macromedia products contain critical vulnerabilities. If an attacker can convince you to open a malicious Flash file, which may be hosted on a web site, he or she may be able to take control of your computer or cause it to crash.
