{"id":165,"date":"2006-02-23T09:25:51","date_gmt":"2006-02-23T16:25:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/archives\/165"},"modified":"2014-12-04T13:54:36","modified_gmt":"2014-12-04T20:54:36","slug":"officially-banned-by-google","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pdxtc.com\/wpblog\/general-interest\/officially-banned-by-google\/","title":{"rendered":"Officially Banned by Google"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve actually been told by people on numerous occasions\u00a0that they can &#8220;guarantee number one search\u00a0positions&#8221;, and &#8220;Google doesn&#8217;t actually ban websites&#8221; and usually, I&#8217;m too busy to argue.<\/p>\n<p>Invariably, these claims come from telephone sales people\u00a0selling internet\u00a0traffic, or placement, or rankings,\u00a0etc, and\u00a0they get referred to me from existing customers of mine to see if they can help my client.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Cutts is a Google lead engineer, and he has confirmed not only that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mattcutts.com\/blog\/confirming-a-penalty\/\" target=\"_blank\">an unscrupulous SEO company (Traffic Power) was banned, but so were all of their clients.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The moral of the story?
