Very observant - yes it is. Searchcommander.com is my site, while the blog has been on pdxtc.com for too many years for me to want to risk moving it.
I still use an old school description tag plugin before here , because it takes page specific post snippets from the first 15) characters.
Also, KNOWING that the first 150 characters become the description tag that people will see in the SERPS will make you a better writer too, IMO.
