Search engine marketing and optimization are pretty hot subjects, and I frequently get asked for recommendations where someone can learn the skills they need at an accelerated pace.

For my own needs, I first attended John Alexander and Robin Nobles’ search engine workshops back in 2004, and was extremely happy with what I learned in the progress I made.

Subsequently I attended three more sessions of theirs, including their ultra-advanced sessions, (which have now been discontinued). Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to spend a week out of town on top of the $1800 tab these classes cost.

Local colleges in Oregon are starting to offer some search marketing courses, and do I know a couple of the instructors who are quite capable. However, that’s not always a realistic option for a business or a webmaster that wants or needs to learn in a hurry.

I’ve teamed up with another local Internet consultant to begin planning a one day accelerated SEO training session. The class will take place here in Portland, Oregon this summer.

Our target market for attendance at these search marketing classes, will be people and webmasters who are already familiar with the basics of SEO 101, and needed to take their skills to the next level.

It’s going to go for only a single day, and will go at a breakneck pace, so that the busy professional webmaster can learn the techniques they need to learn and get back to their lives and jobs.

We are currently in the process of finalizing the venue, the date, and the qualifications for acceptance now, so stay tuned for more…
