Microsoft Strider – Censoring the Web for Our Convenience

19th July 2006

Microsoft has developed a system to automatically filter spam out of their search engine results pages.  The software is called Strider Defender, Microsoft has a webpage explaining  what it does and how it works, and more about how MSN Search will utilize it.

At the Search Defender page, there are even 6 different case studies on several spam sites, and good explanations of how they worked their evil, and how Microsoft intends to stop them.  This is the entire Microsoft Strider Project page at Microsoft.
