How many people are looking for you online? Whether you’re selling globally, or just in your neighborhood, what are people looking for, and how often are they looking for it?

If you’ve been considering expanding your internet marketing budget, how can you know if it’s going to be a worthwhile endeavor? Just Do a little research, and find out how much business is out there…

I use Wordtracker to get specific statistics about your competition, but that’s not free. However, there are a few keyword research tools that can give you valuable information.  

The Overture keyword research tool will give you a large list of associated keywords, and tell you the tell you the number of times they were searched for on Yahoo last month.

The Google keyword reasearch tool gives you a few more options, including one that looks at your website, and extracts many related keywords.

For the SEO “do it yourselfer”, Good Keywords is actually a lot of fun, and many times just as effective as other expensive options I’ve used.
