A smarter search engine

27th October 2005

Googles suggest tool has been in beta testing for nearly a year, but is slowly becoming the standard. As you type into the search box, Google Suggest guesses what you’re typing and offers suggestions in real time, showing you the number of competing search results. This mind reading trick can save you time in searching, and ultimately bring you a better experience, and now they appear to be integrating it into the newest Google toolbar.

This new way of determining what the user is searching for will continue to improve as the search engines get smarter, and anticipating our needs is what keeps Google at the front of the pack in the race for search engine supremacy. To see what the heck I’m talking about, try the Google suggest beta page here…

Disclosure:
Some of the links on this website and possibly even in this article may be affiliate links. That does not in any way discount my recommendation, and I do not accept paid reviews. It's simply impossible and unreasonable to mention each possible affiliation individually, so please try to get over it ;-)
