A post this morning on Sphinn really got my fire going… Apparently, there is a document floating around out there that is supposedly a set of guidelines for the search quality team at Google.
Whether it’s legit or not, you can tell that someone put a lot of thought into it, and I think even Matt Cutts himself would have a hard time arguing with anything there.
There’s been a nice addition to one of my favorite pieces of link building helper software with this morning’s update. It just keeps getting better and better to help your employees make their link building time actually count, and actually build a couple of links, instead of doing research.
- Added: “Toggle Highlighting “NoFollow” Links” option.
Last night I was working ofn a few things on my wifes laptop while we were watching a TV show, and like always, I didn’t “put everything away” and I left a Notepad document open with a few notes, and a few browser windows.
This morning when I got up, I went to the laptop to “get my stuff” and found that Microsoft had seized control overnight and rebooted my computer.
When I first got my Blackberry, I was stunned and appalled that it would not sync with my email on the server. How ridiculous!
This meant that if I did not manually delete my mail from my phone, (choices were one at a time, or “entire day”) then over time it would fill up with hundreds, even thousands of emails.
This covers most of the basics – As always, whether you’re the site owner, or an internet marketer, do feel free to ask any specific questions about this video here, or start any discussion points…
As if I needed another reason to be glad I’m attending Elite Retreat this year, Shoemoney has announced that WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg is going to be speaking.
I feel that I owe a lot of my personal and client success to my use of the best blogging platform in the world, and I’m really looking forward to meeting Matt, and thanking him personally.
I’ll be filling out my speaker proposal soon for Webmaster World Pubcon 2008, because the date has just been announced, and it’s being moved back to November. Maybe if I submit early I can get a topic more exciting than web hosting and SEO issues
I guess no matter who you are, it’s easy to forget about the small stuff -Like renewing your SSL certificate to safely collect millions of dollars hourly…
I tried to log into a Google Adwords account today, and this is what I saw -
An expired security certificate. It showed up in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, so I grabbed a couple of screen shots…
After reformatting my computer, I posted about easily editing the “save attachment as” dialog box to enable me to save Outlook file attachments in the folders of my choice.
An attorney got in touch with me a couple of months ago after reading a blog post I had written at SEMpdx. Google had just drastically lowered visibility of the option where new advertisers could opt out of the Content Network in Google AdWords, and I was compelled to point out that I thought it was sneaky.
I was commenting on a blog this morning when I saw that there were a number of comment author links that were NoFollowed, and a number that were not. The blog owner was singling out comments for approval to allow the passing of link juice.
Have you ever tried to remove a Google Analytics account? What a pain in the neck this is, and I really can’t understand why.
The other day I ran up against my account limit of having too many Analytics accounts associated with my Gmail address. Going through my list of domains, I realized that there were lots of old accounts from months and even years ago that I no longer use and wanted to remove.
