Not exactly breaking news, but Google News items are finally appearing in my own search results, and the news “one box” at the top is gone.

Danny Sullivan mentioned this on his Daily Searchcast a couple of weeks ago,  but I only noticed it working just now.

Hooray -  this gives us back more screen real estate “above the fold”, as well as another reason to get back to doing press releases on a regular basis.

Now please don’t start personalizing my news stories, Google…

    Argh! I’ve been reading about this integration for at least two weeks and still can’t see it in the results. You wouldn’t want to post a screenshot or two, would you? Are pics included in the Google News integration? Is it clustered? Is there a specific term you searched for? Any additional details you could give would be much appreciated…

    I can’t remember the exact search term, but it was for an industry here in the Portland Seattle area. At the moment though, it doesn’t seem to be working!
