"Um, what does sum mean?" LOL. Yes, I read your Tweets.

I love Garry's "the button formerly known as start." Hilarious!

I feel your pain Scott. My Toshiba laptop has Vista, and crashes regularly, right out the box. I finally convinced Toshiba that it needs a thorough examination and sent it away to live with the IT techs for the month. Hopefully it comes back a new man.

One of the things I noticed right away was you now have to format a blank disc before you can burn data. Um, wasn't that automatic before?

I spend many more hours happily working with the MacBook Pro than with any other computers lying around here. It makes switching to Vista less painful because then all MS products are equally sucky. :)

(And Merry Christmas! I'm late in catching up my feed reader, sorry!)

Vista is far better than XP once you get used to it. The plug in Play works better and Network Connections are far better as well.

Being able to change networks or hope between a wireline to wireless network is a snap.

Take some time and get used to it, as an Internet & Technology Consultant we need to know this. The user interface is very easy to get use to once you are able to spend about a day or two to acquaint yourself with it.

Give it time. It will be worth it and you be then be prepared when Windows 7 comes out.

My husband's computer laptop came with Vista installed too. Vista is not so bad once you get used to it, but I agree that you spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to do things differently from XP for no apparent reason. If you are just using the laptop for web and email, I think it is better to just leave it the way it came packaged.

Extremely valuable insight, Scott. I was wondering when 'the day' would come for me and it has not yet, thankfully.

I just don't have time for a new User Interface right now, ya know?
