I need help with Outlook

9th September 2005

Yes, you read that right; the expert needs help!

I subscribe to dozens of newsletters and e-zines etc. and I print the ones I want to read. After printing, I delete most of them, but there are about 20% that I actually then file in various Outlook mail folders, for reference or links etc. Well that process has become a real pain in the wrist.

I’d rather right click, print it, and then auto-move it to a prespecified mail folder. Right now, it’s right click print - right click - move to folder, and then click & scroll my way through the 200+ mailbox file tree to get to the folder or subfolder I need.
At this point, I can create a mail rule to move it before I see it, but then I have to remember to go to each of these folders and see what’s there. Using the Outlook unread mail folder won’t work, because there already several auto filing mail rules of stuff i never need to see, so my Unread mail is always showing lots.

This seems like a “must have” me, so that’s why I’m asking for help. Maybe I ‘m just missing something here that’s already possible in Outlook?

If not, maybe a programmer out there can write an add-on for Outlook? We can partner up and I’ll help you market it to newsletter junkies all over the world
