My theory is that it has to do with the lookup of existing names within your contact list. If I put the address in the subject like and then cut and paste it into the TO: line (and then put in the real subject) it works fine. Still seeking a resolution. I am going to empty my contacts later today to narrow the problem.. I have the exact same problem.
