Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous that BB hasn't resolved yet... I've learned to live with it, unfortunately.

You're not the only one going nuts over this. I also have the 8703e and have been trying to get this thing to reconcile the mail as well. I even went so far as to search websites for companies that will do exchange hosting and support wireless sync of the data. One company i heard about on my XM radio was www.appriver.com Sounds like the due all this but there are additional costs per month. Have'nt decided if it is really worth it yet. i still find it hard to believe that someone has not made a patch or hack to fix this.

Seriously, Zeb? I'm having two-way sync issues with my 8830 and Yahoo!, but so far the experience is 100% better than my Treo, and I should know as I've had 5 of them!

Hey there - googled for my plight and found your blog. Thanks for writing - now I know I'm not nuts!

I just got a new BB 8800 - the damn Vodafone Redirector / Push server keeps switching my POP account to IMAP and breaking my ability to send e-mail!!! I've got ALL the same troubles you listed - plus the blue tooth is complete crap if you want to synchronize with your laptop without wires. I haven't seen such bad software since.. Well the last time I made the mistake of trying Blackberry in 1999....

The lack of a REAL e-mail client in the device is what boggles my mind. I've now dumped HUGE hours into making my idiot phone work right and it invents a new problem daily. I really miss my Treo and am thinking very seriously about throwing this 8800 at a brick wall as hard as I can. How can they write such bad software and not get sued to oblivion? I'm really mad.

All the best,
Z.
