SEO Dream Team coming to Vegas

Okay, I’m not ashamed to admit to being slightly star struck about an upcoming session at Webmaster World Pubcon Vegas. I mean… who wouldn’t be?

Just because I consider myself an SEO expert doesn’t mean that I’m not impressed by this panel coming up in November:

  • Matt Cutts, Software Engineer, Google Inc.
  • Tim Mayer, Director of Product Management, Yahoo! Search

Portland Home for Sale | Mt. Scott | Portland, Oregon

Updated July 27 2008 -

We still want to move closer to our kids school, but summer is coming to an end, and we’re just about ready to give up. After coming down over $70,000, here’s our last pitch before we just stay where we are.

Join a Local Business Group…But View their Source Code First

A colleague wanted to join a local business group in his neighborhood, and heard about the Portland Business Alliance He looked them up online, and then mistakenly joined the Portland Area Business Association instead, and then he sent me a link to his member listing.

Choose Your Domain Name Wisely

It’s not often that I forward email jokes, and even less frequently that I’ve found something worth blogging about. In fact, as far as I remember, of all the forwarded emails and jokes I get, only the “Amazing Quarters” video  ever made it to my blog, aside from a few email scam warnings.

What Else is Google Good For?

This morning I gave the “two minute tip” at the east Portland chamber of commerce meeting, and I provided the following handout with a short presentation. a few of the members knew Google “did other stuff” but  were surprised that there was so much available for free!
Everyone knows Google has a great search engine, but did you know about…

Computer Repair Bend Oregon

Does anyone know of a good computer repair place that does on site computer service and networking in Redmond or Bend Oregon?

Don’t Lose Your Domain Name!

Why do I still get so many calls from people that have lost their domain names? Because business owners have businesses to run, and occasionally trust “little” things like domain registration to others. Some things are just too important to delegate.
Read this short article I wrote last year and you’ll never unwittingly lose your domain name… It’s called 7 things every business owner should know about their domain name

Google & MySpace - What’s the Connection?

I was watching Matt Cutts’ video responses to the deluge of SEO questions he got over the weekend, and I noticed an integrated button saying “Email - Blog - Post to Myspace”, so I hit it. Then I could instantly post to: MySpace - Blogger LiveJournal or TypePad.

“Click To activate and use this control” driving you nuts?

In your Internet Explorer web browser, do some websites appear to be “broken”?

Do Flash menus and some other web page items frequently have a dotted line around them?

When you put your mouse over them, do you see a small yellow box proclaiming that you should “click to activate and use this control”?
